Conifer Identification & Ethnobotany Workshop
On-line & in Person
During this workshop, students will have the opportunity to learn some of the key physical characteristics that will help them identify a variety of common conifers found in the UK.
They will also be signposted to several resources that can help with their continued learning, as well as learn about some of the ethnobotanical uses and ecological relationships within this fascinating group of trees.

If workshop is online: A box of delights (conifer samples) and a hand lens will be sent to you to use as part of this workshop* *Unfortunately, botanical samples cannot be sent to students who live outside the UK due to biosecurity issues. However, there will be plenty of slides to see the details of each specimen should you still wish to attend
this workshop.

"Thanks for the online class last night, it has definitely helped me with confidence in identifying conifers and great to hear some really interesting facts which I haven’t heard before. Its one of the situations when I wish one could download someone’s knowledge and plug it straight into my brain, I look forward to learning more with you"

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for the workshop last night. It was exactly what I was looking for, and you are such a brilliant teacher! What I wouldn't give to spend a few hours walking in my local woods with you to make sense of it all. Please would you add me to your mailing list as I'd love to learn more."
